Tradies in Canberra Minus 5 and the pipes have burst. The office keeps running.

Tradies Line is the AI operating system and job management software for Canberra tradies. When a cold snap bursts the pipes, the calls still get answered and every job sits on one calendar.

No card, no time limit.

  • 60 to 80 frost mornings

a year in Canberra, more than any other Australian capital

  • 70,221 public servants

in the Australian Public Service were based in the ACT at June 2025, 35.4% of the APS

  • An estimated 61,000 claims

came from the ACT after the January 2020 hailstorms, 57% of all claims lodged by March 2020

The backlog a cold snap leaves behind

  • Minus 5, and the pipes let go.

Cold snaps mean burst-pipe callouts all day. Every call within your plan's allowance still gets answered and logged, so it doesn't sit in a full voicemail box.

  • Gas switch-off jobs mean a quoting queue.

Heat pump and switchboard enquiries are stacking up with the gas phase-out. Quoting from your own price list keeps that queue in order instead of in your head.

  • Town centre to town centre, one invoice book that never balances.

Belconnen to Tuggeranong is a trek, and the invoicing lags behind the driving. Raise it from the job on your phone before you've left the street.

What it does for a Canberra trade business

  1. Every enquiry, answered.

Customers keep ringing your 02 number. Calls you can't take forward to your AI receptionist. On paid plans, Wombo, your AI office manager, answers website chat, WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram, plus texts, in your business name. Jobs get booked or the details taken, and anything urgent comes straight to you.

  2. Jobs and crews on one board.

Every job lands on the calendar, the list and the map, crews get their own lanes, and you move a job between crews with a drag, and each person gets their day's run on their phone in one tap.

  3. Quotes out, invoices paid.

Quotes are priced from your own price list and drafted for you to check and send; your customer accepts on their phone and it becomes a job. Invoices go out from the job with a pay link, and with reminders on, the unpaid ones get chased.

  4. It's built for the gas switch-off work.

No new gas network connections since December 2023 means heat pump, hot water and switchboard jobs stacking up. Each enquiry becomes a quote off your own price list, so the queue stays in order.

  5. It keeps the town centres and their crews straight.

Set up a crew for each patch, Belconnen, Tuggeranong, Woden or Gungahlin, and each crew sees just its own day, with Queanbeyan jobs sitting under the same customer record as everything else.

Common questions

Most of my calls come during work hours, when I'm on the tools. Does the rest of the day still move?

Yes. Each call that lands during work hours becomes a job or a quote queued up, so you work through them once you're off the tools instead of playing phone tag.

Do you only cover the suburbs listed here?

No. Tradies Line works anywhere in Australia, so all of Canberra and Queanbeyan too, not just the suburbs named on this page. Every job, quote and invoice sits under one customer record wherever the address is.

What does Tradies Line do?

It's the AI operating system and job management software for a trade business: jobs and dispatch, quotes, invoices and payments, customer records and one inbox for every message, in one place, with AI staff doing the admin. Wombo, your AI office manager, does the work across all of it when you type or talk to him. You check and send every quote and invoice. On paid plans, customer chat replies, and the booking texts and reminders you switch on, go out on their own.

Do I need a new phone number?

No. You keep the number your customers already ring and forward it to Tradies Line when you're busy or don't answer, using your carrier's forwarding codes or phone settings. Turn it off the same way. Your carrier may charge for forwarded minutes; we don't.

Does the customer know it's an AI?

If a caller asks whether they're talking to a person, your AI tells them straight away that it's the AI receptionist for your business. In messages, Wombo says he's your AI assistant if asked. Calls are recorded, and your AI tells the caller so during the call. Our AI disclosure explains it for your customers.
