Every booking you take by hand gets typed again into your calendar, your job software and your invoicing. Here's how Tradies Line books it once and sends it where it needs to go.
You take the call. You book the job. Then the admin starts.
The same job goes into your calendar, then your job software, then your invoicing at the end of the week. Same customer, same address, same phone number, typed three times. Here's how to enter it once.
Double entry is a tax on your evenings
A booking you take by hand is a small job sitting on top of the real one. You write it on the pad in the ute, put it in the calendar later so you don't forget, copy it into your job software so the crew can see it, and on Friday night you build the invoice from the same details again.
Ten minutes a job adds up to a couple of hours a week. Add the odd wrong digit in a phone number or a street name and somebody drives to the wrong address. None of it is work you get paid for.
Book it once in Tradies Line
Tradies Line is where the job lives, from the booking to the quote, the invoice and the customer record. With booking on, your AI receptionist books jobs from calls and Wombo books them from messages, or you add them yourself on the job board. Either way, the job is entered once.
If you already run ServiceM8, Xero or a calendar you don't want to give up, Tradies Line sends the job across, so it turns up where you'd have typed it by hand.
What connects today
Google Calendar and Outlook. Connect from Settings and your jobs land on your Google or Outlook calendar with the customer, phone, address and notes. On Free and Starter every scheduled job syncs and the AI checks your busy times before it offers a slot. On Pro and Enterprise only the jobs you're on sync. On Free and Starter, switch on Sync booked jobs to send the jobs the AI books too. It never changes events that were already in your calendar.
ServiceM8. Every job you book, or your AI books from a call or message, is created in ServiceM8 with the customer, the address and your notes, and the booked time written into the job description. It matches the customer by phone number. Repeat visits and jobs from accepted quotes don't push yet.
Xero. Send an invoice from Tradies Line and it's created in your Xero, and Xero emails it to your customer. When they pay in Xero, it's marked paid in Tradies Line and the job closes on its own. Add a Cc or Bcc and we email it instead, and Xero still keeps the books.
All four work on every plan, Free included, and you connect them yourself from Settings. Use the one or two you already live in and leave the rest.
One job, from the call to paid
A hot water job comes in while you're at another site. Your AI receptionist answers, gets the customer's name, the suburb and what's gone wrong, and with booking on, books a time. The job is in Tradies Line with the call summary on it, it's on your calendar, and it's in ServiceM8 if you run it.
You do the job, start the invoice from it before you've packed up, and it fills in from the quote. It goes out through Xero, and when the customer pays, it's marked paid in both.
One call, one booking, and it moved through your calendar, your job software and your books without you typing it twice.
Why it matters on the tools
When the booking lands where everyone can see it, nobody rings you to ask what came in. The invoice is built from the same job, not retyped from memory, so the books stay right. And on Free and Starter, the AI checks your calendar before it offers a time, so you're less likely to double-book yourself.
What it touches
It only adds the jobs it sends. It doesn't change events that were already in your calendar. With Xero, the money still runs through Xero. You connect ServiceM8 and Xero yourself and can disconnect them the same way.
Common questions
Do I have to change how I work?
No. Keep running ServiceM8, Xero or your calendar the way you do now. Tradies Line sends the job across, so there's nothing to retype.
What if I use Simpro, Fergus or AroFlo?
Those aren't connected today. Tradies Line works with Google Calendar, Outlook, ServiceM8 and Xero. If you need another one, tell us at support@tradiesline.ai.
Does this replace my job or accounting software?
It can replace your job software, because jobs, quotes, invoices and payments all run in Tradies Line. It doesn't replace your accounting software. With Xero connected, your invoices go straight into your books.
Which plan do I need?
Any plan, Free included. Google Calendar, Outlook, ServiceM8 and Xero all connect on every plan. Which jobs sync to your calendar depends on the plan.
